The Plaza is proud of its dance hall and dance floor.  the dance hall, converted from a theatre in 2006, has balconies and a 30' high ceiling.  The floor is designed specifically for dancing.  It uses Robbins Bio-Cushion Floating Floor system to protect dancers' knees from injuries.  Furthermore, the entire solid maple hardwood floor and its sub-floor sit on a pier-beam  structure, creating a unique resilient environment such that a dancer may feel the motion from his partner but not neighbors.

Ballroom Dance Class-Saturday  offered each Saturday, 1:00-3:00 PM The class, taught by Emmy Agustin, cover the major types of ballroom dances. The class is open to all adults 16 and older. The cost is $20 for 4 week or $7 for each drop-in. 

Ballroom Dance Class-Wednesday  offered each Wednesday, 6:30-8:00 PM. The class, taught by Emmy Agustin, cover the major types of ballroom dances. The class is open to all adults 16 and older. The cost is $20 for 4 week or $7 for each drop-in.

Ballroom Social Dance is held 2nd Friday (8:30-11:30pm) every month unless otherwise announced. Admission $8.  Note: The door opens at 8:00.  Next party is on May 9.  

Belly Dance is taught every Tuesday 6-7:30pm, by Jessica Dawn.  Jessica Dawn has been teaching beginning Middle Eastern Dance, Belly Dance, for over 5 years. She stresses a strong warm up and a good cool down to insure that as students are learning the dances moves, they are also building up strength and stamina to dance to their hearts content. This class is open to all ages and all body types, as belly dance is beautiful on everyone. Classes are $40 a month or $15 for drop-ins.  You may register at the Plaza.

Contra Dance is held the first, third and fifth Saturdays of every Month,
8-11 pm, It’s sponsored by the North Texas Traditional Dance Society. Instruction for newcomers begins at 7:30 pm. All dances are explained throughout the evening. Live music is provided by local musicians.

Folk Dance & Class is taught every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 10pm. The class teaches traditional and old-time social dances from different countries. Fee: $20 for 4 weeks or $7 per night.

KISMET Stage presents Middle Eastern Dancers “Sharing Your Dance,” the Fourth Saturday, every two months. Next event is on March 22, 2008. Ticket prices vary. Check website for more info: www.kismetdance.org.

Tango-Argentino Milonga (Party) is held 1st Friday (8:30 pm-midnight) and next to the last Sunday (7:00pm-?).  Accomplished dancer and instructor, Laurie Vega gives instruction during the first 30 minutes. Fee: $10-12. Go to www.nocturnatango.com for more info.

Swing Dance lessons are taught every Thursday, 7-9 pm by veteran dancer and actor Dell Johnson ( www.prestonent.com). Beginning and Advanced instruction in Swing Out style is taught.
